The Situation

The right work. The wrong audience.

Square Lens Media is a Brisbane-based wedding photography and film studio with a strong portfolio and a clear sense of their own style. Their existing site was clean and functional, but it wasn't keeping up with where the business was heading.

The problem wasn't their work, it was how their website represented it.

They came to us with a site that was doing some of the job, but not enough of it. The site wasn't speaking to the clients they wanted, and it wasn't reflecting the level of service they were now offering.

The enquiries were coming in but too many of them were from couples whose budgets didn't match Square Lens Media's level of craft. The site was attracting the wrong clients.

The Direction

I decided early on that this wasn't just a redesign brief; it was a repositioning one. I migrated the site from Elementor to Oxygen 6, stripped the design back entirely, and rebuilt it around a single audience: couples who value quality and are willing to invest in it.

The Outcome

The quality of their enquiries shifted. Couples coming through were aligned with the new premium offering, and the bookings followed. Beyond the results, the design itself told a different story.

Dark, cinematic, and editorial, the new site finally matched the quality of the photography it was showcasing. Where competitors are leaning on templates, what they walked away with was a site that couldn't belong to anyone else. Built from scratch around their aesthetic, their audience, and the way they work.
What we did

We didn't redesign a website. We rebuilt the first impression.

Four focused phases over four weeks. Each one designed to protect what made the work special while fixing everything getting in its way.
01

Discovery & strategy

We begin by getting to know your business, your audience and your goals. Honest conversations help us uncover the insights that guide the entire project.

Art direction & design

In Figma we designed a system where the photography always led. Full-bleed imagery, a considered mix of dark and light sections, elegant serif typography, and a deep forest green palette.

Build & performance

We moved the site off Elementor and rebuilt it in Oxygen 6. A platform that gives us more control over how a site looks and performs. The result was a homepage that went from taking over four seconds to load, to under one.

Launch & foundations

SEO foundations were put in place, 301 redirects handled the transition from the old site, and a set of tutorial videos gave Square Lens Media everything they needed to run it themselves.

A happy client

Digital Azura redesigned our wedding photography website and it far exceeded what we'd envisioned!

Jordie developed our branding and what stood out most was how easy she made the entire process; great communication, a clear sense of direction, and a real eye for design that feels premium without being overdone.
